Cinéaste d'animation, Georges Schwizgebel n'est pas un inconnu. Ses court-métrages ont fait le tour du monde. Très inspirés par la musique, ses films nous entraînent dans un tourbillon d'images personnelles, le plus souvent peintes ou dessinées. Dans ce portrait, le spectateur a l'occasion de découvrir de nombreux extraits des films de Georges Schwizgebel et de rencontrer un artiste attachant, modeste autant que doué, parlant chinois à la suite d'un séjour d'un an à Shanghaï, ville à laquelle il a dédié un film et où il a rencontré sa femme Yaping avec laquelle il a deux enfants, Louis et Tina.
MOVING PAINTINGS
As an animated film director, Georges Schwizgebel is more famous than could be expected because his short films have been shown around the world. Deeply inspired by music, his films lead us into a whirlwind of very personal images that are mostly painted or drawn. This portrait offers numerous excerpts of Schwizgebel's films and reveals an artist who is as unassuming as he is gifted. He also speaks Chinese fluently after having lived for a year in Shanghai, a city about which he made a film and where he met his wife Yaping with whom he has two children, Louis and Tina.
